AUGUST EXHIBITIONS | Donna Malone, Robyn Shaw and The Affordable Art Fair
We have some really exciting events coming up through August and beyond. The Love Won’t Leave me Alone is a collection of new works by the truly unique, Donna Malone. For this show, Donna has been using a range of different materials and surfaces to create her quirky pieces. Get ready for something completely different from this popular Brisbane artist.
Showing in the same week, we have a petite solo exhibition by Cooloola Coast artist, Robyn Shaw. “A Lot Can Happen in the Light”. Robyn’s figurative works have a minimalist sophistication, unique in line and colour.
Both shows run from 17-28 August. The exhibition works will also be available online and the details of our opening drinks are below:

Julie Poulsen
“With Julie’s touch, elements of the everyday take on a life of their own as unique works of art, testaments to her ongoing quest for new visual narratives and her delightfully unpredictable style.”
Julie Poulsen’s curiosity for colour and composition were informed by multiple locations in her formative years. From Papua New Guinea to the Gold Coast, from traditional Toowoomba and the United Kingdom to frontier Cooktown, Julie’s travels nurtured a tendency towards discovery and experimentation.

Elizabeth Stein
Wendy began painting in 2011 – her works were immediately popular with local, national and international buyers. She found a ready market for her work in the resort city of Annecy, France (a short drive to Geneva, Switzerland).
Taking her inspiration from a childhood in Canberra, world travel, Impressionist and Post Impressionist painters, her style has been described as “Sergeant Peppers meets the French Masters for a picnic.” Nadine Prisset – Gallery owner Annecy, France. Her popular works are known for their vibrant colours and can be seen in business establishments and homes across Australia and with European collectors in France , Switzerland and the U.S.

Liz Lennox
Liz Lennox is a contemporary artist based on the Queensland coast. She sells her work privately and at local exhibitions and art galleries in Queensland. Liz works exclusively with oils, pure pigments, cold wax and other drawing media on paper and canvas. This process allows her to layer her work and gives her paintings sophisticated richness and beautiful depth of colour.
