Donna Malone
Donna Malone has concentrated on Drawing as her major activity for the past 25 years. Her Drawings are alive, impulsive, and instinctual. She primarily draws from life both in Nature and studio based life drawing, working in close collaboration with her subject and materials. She will ‘do’, ‘undo’ and ‘redo’ these pieces, until she finds the ‘sweet spot’ moving them on from 2D to becoming evolving ‘objects in and of themselves’. Most times, this mission may take many months, even years to resolve.
While Donna’s formal education is in Visual Arts, Drawing and Graphic Design, the artist’s experiences at artist residencies and projects have contributed greatly to her uniqueness of vision. These include:
