DESCRIPTION:Join us for Lisa Rink’s first solo exhibition with our gallery. OPENING NIGHT: Saturday 14th March 4:30-6pm \nLisa is a highly regarded SE Qld  based artist. After graduating from Qld College of Art\, she spent her early career freelancing for advertising and architectural firms and creating commissioned oil paintings for diverse commercial and private spaces. Having won numerous oil painting categories\, Lisa Rink was also a finalist in both the Doyle’s Art Prize and the Recent Queen’s Wharf Art Prize. \nNow residing in both Noosa and Palm Beach (Gold Coast) Lisa’s work has evolved and celebrates different aspects of her coastal lifestyle\, her travels and her family that keeps her grounded. In this inspired collection of work you’ll find exquisite figurative studies\, sweeping coastal landscapes and moments of beauty. \n

DESCRIPTION:Amber Simpson\nWaterbodies \nCreating art outside of time on Turrbal country\, Amber Simpson’s\nrecent body of work invokes a dreamy stillness where sparkling\nwatery landscapes caress and contrast with iconically designed\nliving spaces outlined in timber veneer: the world within and the\nworld without.\nAmber puts a contemporary twist on traditional marquetry\, inlaying\nhand cut wood veneer to create an abstract base upon which she\napplies vibrant/dreamy waterscapes in oil.\nInspired by locations such as Carnarvon Gorge\, Lakes Kurwongbah and\nSamsonvale\, even the Nile in Egypt\, Amber’s work is often described\nas an intersection between art\, craft and design\, giving her work\nbroad aesthetic appeal and decorative value. Her exhibition\n‘Waterbodies’ weaves a transcendent narrative around stillness and\nthe sacred.\nAmber was born in Bowral\, NSW\, and is a graduate of North Adelaide\nSchool of the Arts. Her work is in private collections in Australia\,\nNew Zealand and Singapore. DESCRIPTION:One of the most popular shows on our annual calendar is our landscape group show. \nThis year we have invited Kate Marek\, who has created a beautiful series inspired by Macleay Island in our beautiful Moreton Bay and Penelope McManus from the Northern Rivers of NSW. Helena Jackson Lloyd will be showing a new series from one of her recent artist residencies. Julie Poulsen\, best known for her abstract figurative works is showing her a pair of stunning tropical abstract landscapes. We will have 1 or 2 new Mark Gawne works and a magnetic piece from our newest artist\, Tim Klein. \nWe look forward to sharing this exciting new show with you.
