ANTHONY JIGALIN

“I paint my artworks in one sitting, I find art becomes a burden if I labour on it for too long, just enough (not overworked). Unusually what inspires me is my eventual death. At times I think I am a failed artist although I am not against being ‘an artist’ as I enjoy the process.
I used to paint in a realistic style but found it too monotonous and, draining on my creative brain. This is why a made a shift with my art. I have freed up my art by painting quickly and expressively. My paintings attempt to get a good likeness of people with a minimum of brushstrokes and time. I am particularly concerned with the spaces between the eyes nose and mouth”
